Actually, the original cut of the film was released in theaters. the "Extended Editions" of the films were released as a TV miniseries in 6 parts, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo were part 1 and 2, The Girl who Played with Fire was 3 and 4, and the Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest was 5 and 6. The miniseries has been released on DVD and Blu-Ray in a box set, stand alone, and Digital Download, just tweaking your facts a little.

MrCyborch says:

too americanized.. and i know that alot of people dosen't want to read a movie, but the original is more realistic, and has alot of things in it that really could happend..

Jonmad17 says:

@Farrow1990 The original is a made-for-tv Swedish miniseries. The new version (it isn't a remake, it's been in development for a long time) is directed by David Fincher, one of the greatest directors of our time. Watch it before you criticize it. It's a fantastic film.

NewWaveFan1 says:

Lulu was wanting attention. hahaha.

benarddor says:

saw it this afternoon and was highly disappointed. david finchers direction was great as always, however the film itself was predictable, uninteresting and an hour and a half to long.

Cody Walters says:

I enjoyed the movie, not the best I've seen this year, not really as good as I expected. But worth watching. Great video Shawn! Merry Christmas!

slick says:

u have a freat fam. a lot of love in this house.

benway20 says:

@Farrow1990 Sorry dude, but Fincher's remake kicks the living crap out of the original.

fanboyproductions says:

@Farrow1990 Fincher made the Swede version look like a college student film. This version is 10x better in every way.

Kelly McAdams says:

The GWTDT is not very good. From a technical standpoint, I feel like it was a really rushed production because they had far too many issues to be at the level that it's at. David Fincher films have terrible pacing and this particular film had terrible sound design and there was a distinct style difference in the cinematography between the first half and second half because of the switch in cinematographers. I don't understand what all the hype is about, I'd wait for it to come out on DVD.

Alexander says:

Good review, Gina is sexy!

SOLIE6226 says:

I Still Hope & Wait for a Phillips Family review on the Human Centipede

drhbettathanu says:

I don't understand why people are hating on this movie.. I thought it was great. Though I haven't seen the Swedish version, I thought it was a very good movie and I hope they do the sequels.

ImmYCee says:

i hate this i aws shocked when i saw the poster at the cinema. i hate it when holywood takes really great foreign films and just copies them… you cant even call them a remake since its justcouple years old.
