Liam Hubbard says:

I think that allot of Kubricks experimental traits were shown in spartacus. The underlying themes of homosexual traits, racial lust and virginity, all experiment themes for the time were displayed well. Also allot of interesting camera work such as the knife being pulled out of the wall in a panover shot during the gladiatorial breakout, displaying the balence of power being taken by slaves. But as Kubrick films go, its pretty traditional. But good! good review!
