warrior100girl says:

The movie was so bad, i stopped watching after 30min.

Beserk Ninja says:

So… Is it safe to assume the guy playing Edward isn't too experienced in acting? I'm not saying he should be trying to stretch his face like an anime character, but really… I'm not the only that thinks his acting is pretty stiff right?

Hughes fight with lust (well, the clip in this video) Is bugging me a bit too. It felt unnatural if that makes any sense; as if there should have been another shot somewhere or maybe they were trying to do that thing where simutaneous actions are shown separately (Though I don't feel that it works here)

Amanda Anaya says:

This is why you shouldn't do live action.

Tanequa Woodson says:

The Anime is 100 x better YES perfect

Cody Sims says:

ok, so from a cinematic standpoint… even though its animated, the show actually does a better job of lighting and framing every single time. The movie felt like despie the fact that they spent money on good or decent effects and they tried to stay as faithful as they knew how, the film makers set it all in this bland and boring world of nearly even lighting and straightforward shots that made it feel… cheap.

Just for a moment, forget the costuming, the actors and the bad hair. Compare just the angles and the lighting in those shots above….

This movie looked more like it was made by a really talented group of students than by professionals… It was faithful in the right ways to the story and the designs, but when the anime has better lighting, that's not an issue of performance, dsign or story… its an issue in practical execution…

Cinematic storytelling is a visual language… and this one was lacking some basic vocabulary.

Lisandro Vaccaro says:

But is it as good as Dragon Ball Evolution?

Xrgaming117 says:

Could be better in my opinion, only liked how they did the girl and her dog other than that the face expressions were better in the anime

Dan-The-Man says:

Frankly we didn't need a movie for a classic like FMAB

Perseus One says:

Anime should just be anime

Yanna N says:

They coulda at least used the real Japanese voice actors as the live cast crew for the cringey acting… But Noooo!

alien hive mind says:

Seriously.. I can just tell by this comparison.. I didn't miss much

Frank K says:

Anyone remember how bad that Avatar: The Last Airbender live action movie was?

pendleton123 says:

Anime>CGI

louisgworld says:

Yellow washing

Kakashi Jr says:

the anime is way better but i still liked the movie it was ok. so they pettery much made 26 hours in to a 2 hour movie. if they do a naruto shippuden movie that had 500 eps then the movie will have to be longer then 2 hours. if anything it will be a 3 hour movie if they do a naruto live action i know its gonna happen.

VanHallen52 says:

The movie is much better then the anime.

Elijah Chee says:

It looks so awesome! So excited!

mcmichael3 says:

Welp, we've gotta wait for the western remake with Cate Blanchett as Lust and Keanu Reeves as Roy Mustang

Ed Hart says:

im excited, but the acting looks bad
