I 100% agreed with your review.

Acácio Oliveira says:

Care to disagree Miss Grace, even if i dont have to pay for a ticket if having a subscription to netflix!… This is a bad movie! Doesn't come close to the first in anything!… Donnie Yen is in automode probably because of is rogue one appearance. The relationship between him and Michelle Yeoh does not add nothing to the first one between her and Chow Yun-Fat. Clear made for netflix western viewers, the english names of everyone in the movie are ridiculous. The pathos, form and overall story is also ridiculous…
The sword doesn't have the importance it had as in "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon", although it's not really about the sword… Some Chinese culture elements are there but lacks spirit and form of a TRUE martial arts philosophy movie mixed with the the country's wushu history. THE FIRST ONE WAS a true WU-XIA movie this one is a fast food popcorn lesser movie made for television. The end is also ridiculous. Watchable and Forgettable!

Angel majorjoy says:

I truly enjoyed the film. Seeing Jason Scott Lee was so great! Most of The cinematography was excellent. Some of the shots of nature were beautiful & on par with major motion picture. I Couldn't believe it was Netflix. All of the actors did an outstanding job. It was kind of funny how most of them had perfect English/British accents lol You can tell they were well trained actors as well as fighters & dancers. Grace was right in another sense. There were some areas in the story that dragged a bit. But it was always to set up & established the story & the characters. I liked the story line between the 2 younger actors sharing the same mother. overall I thought the romantic aspects of the film were subtle, believable & tastefully done. I hope they make a part 3. But already killed all of the martial art avengers. The whole production reminded me of old-school kung fu movies that I used to watch on Sunday mornings growing up. Loved it!
