This movie review first appeared on the “Top Hat And Buttered Popcorn” program that aired bimonthly on the Fairfax County (VA) cable television station, Channel 10. It was hosted by John Savers. Mel Gibson starred as the Scot hero, William Wallace, who fought against English domination of Scotland by King Edward, called “Longshank.” His struggle began with the defilement and death of his bride. It ended in capture and a painful, albeit interesting, death. He managed to plant a seed or two along the way.
